Hello everyone I would like to start off and say that Jeff and his family are great people. When i arrived Jeff asked what kind of dog i was looking for. When I told him, he described the different personalities and drives of the dog. Not many breeders will help you pick the right dog for you, some are after the quick sale. After taking my new puppy home (Bella) Jeff called the next day to see how i liked the pup and how she was doing. I thought that was great that he would take the time to make sure everything was going okay. Bella is a part of the family thanks to Jeff. I am also going to Jeff for some training, which is the only person I trust training Bella. Jeff is truly a professional with a passion for German Shepherds. If you are looking for some of the best German Shepherds around, boarding, or training. I would highly recommend Jeff and his family to anyone. Thanks for everything. i forgot to tell you that i have started her tracking deer. she went to the woods with me every time and some times set in the blind with me. man let me tell you she gets fired up at a deer. every one that i killed or my friends killed she went with us to drag it out even at 3 mth old. when i go in my home office she tries to tear the wall down after some of the mounts. and another thing (it could be where she is my dog) i think she is one of the best looking shepherds i have ever seen you be the judge. God has blessed me in many ways, Our meeting has been just that, a blessing. By chance I talked to you when I was breeding one of my females. We talked for hours and had an instant connection, our lives, our passion for GSD's. From their I feel like your family is part of me you are all certainly in my heart. What a wonderful, breeder, trainer, and person you and your family are. You never take the credit. You have a gift that God has given you and you use it greatfully. I am so impressed with the way you train, take such great care of your dogs, the commmemtment you have. Just knowing amd meeting you, I ask you if you would board my 2 GSD's. I would not let anyone else watch them. I drove 3 hours out of my way for you to keep them for 5 days. I will drive this many times now. Sincerely, Lora Nix Owner, Trainer, Breeder Windy Ridge Shepherds 2 1/2 years ago I talked to Jeff on the phone about training and dogs and one week later I was on my way from VA to TN to meet Jeff he's family and he's kennel not knowing what to expect I was kind of nervous, on my way there Jeff called a few time to see if I was all right I thought wow that's nice. Anyways as I arrived at their home I was greeted by the whole family and dogs and invited into their home Jeff and he's wife Katy invited me to stay overnight so I would not have to pay hotel cost, I was treated like a Family Member not as a potential customer. I learned quite a bit from Jeff's knowledge about K-9 training, he's dogs are excellent taken care of and members of the family. We became friends and stayed friends. I em a Breeder and Certified Trainer myself and must say I will recommend Jeff to anyone who is looking for a Trainer or excellent dogs, Just to mention I will be going back to Visit Jeff and he's Family in June 2010 with some friends to purchase some pups out of he's breeding and for a visit to the Family. Also I don't want to forget to mention to run he's Kennel and Training he's wife and Daughter are very involved. We picked Selby up on Friday (the 26th) after visiting and working with her a couple of weekends........She is WONDERFUL!!!! Only 8 months old and already well on her way to being a GREAT protection dog as well as a loved and cherished member of our family. She seems to know just what is expected of her.....like when we are ready to play, when we are ready to work, and when we just want quiet time with her. Very watchful, obedient, and couldn't ask for a more well-mannered sweetheart. So glad we found Jeff and his wonderful family. On our very first visit we were invited in and made to feel very welcome in their home......and were amazed at the dogs we saw. Our hearts were captured though when we met Shelby. Just wanted to let you know that little Ike is doing great. Every once in a while I have the pleasure of meeting someone that simply "gets it." You do. With five children, one of whom has downs syndrome, De invested months of research into locating the best breeders throughout the south east. Towards that end, we went through the checklist....Authentic documents ie. German purchase & Homeland Security, check. Family history, check. Basic obediance, check. Additional training ie. advanced obedience, Schutshund, etc, check. Working lines, check. Show lines, check. Police dogs, check. All that was important; however, the most important item for us was this. We knew that we would only work with a breeder that would have us prove to him/her that we were right for one of their dogs. This way, we would know that the "boogers" were really loved.
